Introducing Cincinnati Chiropractor Dr. Matthew Haumessesr

"Chiropractors are Quacks!!" I say.
When I was a child, I began getting intense headaches everyday. I would take 4-6 maximum strength painkillers 5-6 times a day. That’s 20-36 tablets a day! My father, under chiropractic care for his low back, told me that I had to either go see a chiropractor or a neurosurgeon. I chose the traditional medical community because I felt like chiropractors where “quacks.” The neurosurgeon diagnosed me with “migraines” and gave me some medicine. I took the medicine religiously for over a month. It did not work.
Finally with a lot of pressure from my father, I decided to try chiropractic care. I went to the chiropractor that my dad was seeing. He later told me that the medicine the neurosurgeon gave me for my headaches had a side effect of “causing headaches.” I saw my chiropractor regularly and my headaches soon ceased. The whole time he was working with me he kept saying, “You are going to be a chiropractor.” I kept laughing it off. I wanted to be a pediatrician. In high school I became interested in wrestling and drug-free bodybuilding. Focusing on my health and fitness helped me to appreciate the benefits of a natural drug-free method of healing. My doctor was right. I was going to become a chiropractor.
After declining a wrestling scholarship to the University of Toledo I attended the University of Cincinnati. I received a bachelors of science in health promotion and exercise and fitness in 1996. I proceeded to Logan College of Chiropractic, in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. In 1998 I obtained a second bachelors of science in human biology. August of 2000 I earned my doctorate of chiropractic also from Logan College of Chiropractic. I have treated many individuals with many different health concerns and backgrounds from patients only 12 hours old to patients 103 years old. We have treated a variety of health concerns from migraines, to asthma, to allergies and many more. I believe in treating all my patients like they are members of my immediate family.
I believe that chiropractic is an under-utilized way of healing because people many people do not understand it. Because of this, we work hard to make sure that every patient clearly understands the condition of their health so that they can partner with us to achieve wellness. The staff at Haumesser Chiropractic takes the extra time because we care. I believe we can have a healthier community through chiropractic care.

My wife Brandy and I have two big babies at home, Atlas, a rottweiler (Does anyone see the hidden meaning in his name?) and Rain, a sweet but stubborn Dogue de Bordeaux (a French Mastiff – you know a Turner and Hooch dog). I have 2 chiropractors who adjust me. No one not even a chiropractor can adjust themselves. I get treated at least once a week and most times twice a week.
I am still very involved in body building and spend much of my free time at the gym. I work out four days a week. I am a three time consecutive undefeated national power lifting champion, 2004 and 2008 undefeated world power lifting champion. Recently I have competed in six bodybuilding shows, placing well. I don’t take any medications; I feel we can do without most of them. I disagree with most vaccines and antibiotics, but we can talk about that more later.
Enough about me! Thanks for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenge. Give our office a call or email me with the link below.
