Nutrition

Haumesser Chiropractic & Massage understands that proper nutrition is a key component to living healthy, being well, and increasing your body’s performance.  A new study shows that 85% of people know that as a nation, we have a problem with our nutrition.  We have an excess of poor nutrition.  According to the National Institute of Health, 31% of Americans are obese and 32% are overweight, so 63% of Americans are overweight or obese.

At Haumesser Chiropractic & Massage, we take a hands on approach to helping the members of our community who need a healthier nutrition plan succeed.

If you are a patient in our office we do offer one on one nutritional consultations.

You will need the following to qualify for a nutritional consultation:
  1. A food diary to be kept for 7 consecutive days.
Everything, including amounts of food and drinks that are consumed need to be recorded.

Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognize two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
What's the difference between chiropractic and medicine?
Medical treatment focuses on the disease or the symptom. Chiropractic focuses on the person with the disease or the symptom. Medical treatment usually involves changing blood chemistry. Chiropractic involves restoring nervous system integrity. Medical doctors prescribe medicine. Chiropractors adjust the spine—a common source of nervous system interference.
